For thousands of years people have been farming shellfish and it has been a great benefit to our environment. At Penn Cove Shellfish, farming shellfish sustainably is our way of life and our commitment. As our company depends on clean waters to grow our shellfish, it’s our job to be good stewards of the environment. Sustainability is a lifestyle that we have followed through each area of our operation and we will continue to follow.

Penn Cove Shellfish sustainably grows and harvests Pacific Oysters, Kumamoto Oysters, Manila Clams, and Penn Cove Mussels. All of the shellfish we produce are considered green rated “best choice” certified sustainable by the Monterey Bay Seafood Watch.
